Black Annealed Wire
Black Annealed Wire Coils Fire Annealed wire, also known as Burnt Wire. Popular sizes are 8 gauge, 9 gauge, 9.5 gauge, 10 gauge , 11 gauge, 11.5 gauge , 12 gauge, 13 gauge, 14 gauge and more. Diameter ranges from 0.30mm to 4.19mm. Tensile strength ranges from 300 to 450N/mm2. Oxide finish or oil coated. Packed in bundles, rolls / coils big or small, spool.
Processing
Steel rod – wire drawing – thermal annealing – oiling – coiling.
Wire Drawing: The wire is processed from the Q195 wire rod first by simple drawing process into bare wire. Into various wire gauges.
Annealing: Annealing is intended to return to the wire its ductility which it had lost during drawing. This is the setting process to reduce internal stress and reduces the amount of defects like dislocations. The wire annealing can be carried out in batches (bell-type furnace) or in line (in-line furnace). Different thickness of wire require different temperature. The tensile strength is 400N~600N. Standard coil is 10kg, 25kg, 50kg and 100kg. The wire annealing prepares the iron wire for future production steps.
Further processing include milling, wire re-drawing and wire looping, wire bending and fabrications.
